For a library that agents discover and use, the natural payment is one the agent can make itself.
The flow
An agent requests a priced route. The library answers 402 Payment Required with a price. The agent pays from its own wallet in stablecoin. Proof is verified at the edge. The artifact is served.
No signup. No API key. No human review.
The credential is the payment
This inverts the usual model. Instead of an account that grants access, the payment itself is the access. A paying agent is a verified agent.
We are building on Cloudflare's Monetization Gateway rail. The gateway is early access and not yet general availability, so our payment seam is dev-ready today, with a working 402 gate and a path to flip on the live checkout when the gateway opens.
Why it matters
Agents should be able to buy knowledge before their owners discover the product. Micropayments keep the economics sane. Metering tells us what agents actually need, which becomes our demand map.
When the gateway opens, the shelf is ready to sell itself.
